A young man with a talent for singing cannot find his way in it. He finds work as a driver for a pasha, and by chance discovers that this pasha is trying to steal the money of his niece, who is the guardian of her property. He decides to reveal this theft to the girl he has already begun to love. She lies to him and distances herself from him, but with time she discovers that her uncle is actually stealing from her and is trying to marry her to his son in order to seize everything. She returns once again, regretting it, to her lover.
