Pierre Patry (November 2, 1933 – June 7, 2014) was a Canadian film director and screenwriter. Born in Hull, Quebec, Patry began his career in the theatre as an actor and a playwright. He was a founding member of the Canadian Association of Amateur Theatre. He joined the National Film Board of Canada in 1957 as a writer on the Panoramique series. Patry was a major force in the beginning of the Quebec feature-film industry in the sixties.
