An Egyptian actress of Lebanese origin. She was born in Zahle, Lebanon, to a middle-class family, as her father worked in the textile trade. She had the opportunity to receive some education, and as a child she was an actress, successfully playing the role of the mother in school parties. After completing her primary education, she joined one of the troupes that were widespread in Lebanon.
