Maya Angelou Nievares is a Filipino filmmaker whose work explores the quiet, in-between spaces of memory, identity, and becoming. She produced "A Short Film About Growing Up" (2019) and "Wala" (2022), and the award-winning"Kaloy-i" (2017), which received Best Guerrilla Filmmaking Workshop Film at the 15th Mindanao Film Festival.
