Pilar Roca began her filmmaking career during the Revolutionary Government of the Armed Forces, producing a series of short documentaries for SINAMOS. From that point on, she developed her career in collaboration with her partner, Federico García Hurtado. Following the typical gendered division of labor in Latin American political cinema, she worked as a researcher and producer for the films directed by her partner (Seguí 2019).
